Ten Things to do in Canberra this November

There is lots to do in Canberra this month. Here are our picks for a few things to do.

Remembrance Day, 11 November 2019

On 11 November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare. Beginning with their stunning success at the battle of Hamel in July, the Australians had taken part in key battles at Amiens, Mont St Quentin and Peronne, and at the Hindenburg Line. By October the exhausted Australians were withdrawn from battle. They suffered almost 48,000 casualties during 1918, including more than 12,000 dead.

This Remembrance Day the Australian War Memorial will host the nation’s key commemoration.
