We start the day with a half day bus tour of this fascinating Island. You will visit historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge & much more. Our guide will explain about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches & golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel, our Government, our laws & lifestyle. Enjoy views from scenic spots. Rest for a delicious morning tea in the garden of an historic island home built by Fletcher Quintal – descendant of ‘Bounty’ mutineers Fletcher Christian & Matthew Quintal. You will then have a free afternoon to do as you please until it is time to attend the Island Fish Fry dinner. Enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread & fresh fried fish, followed by Island desserts & tea or coffee. Enjoy some local entertainment on Norfolk’s beautiful, Puppy’s Point. Bring your light jacket, camera  and singing voice.  BA/TD

Day 4 – Wednesday 9 May

Breakfast Bushwalk 7am (walkers) 8.15am (non-walkers) – 10.30am
For those people keen for a walk before breakfast the guide will pick them up at 7am. There are two walks to choose from; the first is a “short” walk, and depending takes you out to Palm Glen – a lovely bushland area. The walk is approx 1.5km and there is a hill to walk down and of course come up the other side – the last 50 metres is quite steep. The other walk is what we call the “long” walk. It takes you from the Red Road area along a 3.5km track, which eventually ends up at Captain Cook Monument. This is a beautiful walk with spectacular coastal scenery. It starts off with a long uphill of about 900 metres and the remainder of the walk is undulating. If these walks sound too strenuous a guide will pick you up at 8.15am and take you straight to breakfast. You do not need to make up your mind which walk you want to do until the morning, as all walkers will be picked up at the same time. Cameras are a must and water bottles should be carried, especially for people doing the longer walks. Short walk suits people with no respiratory trouble. Long walk suits people who regularly exercise.  You then have a free afternoon; before heading off to enjoy a progressive dinner consisting of 3 course meal progressing to 3 different island homes. With nibbles you will have a glass of sherry or orange juice, main course has a glass of white wine or orange juice served, and there is tea or coffee available with sweets. We treat the night like a BYO if anyone would like any more alcohol. Along the way you will learn a bit about each of the homes and the families. Toilet facilities are available at each home, just ask the driver or the families and they will direct you to them. BDA

Day 5 – Thursday 10 May

After a leisurely hot breakfast at the Resort you have a recovery day. We will be having an early 2 course dinner before watching descendants of the mutineers bring the story of the famed Mutiny on the Bounty and historic events to life in a 1½ hour show performed in an outdoor amphitheatre on Norfolk’s western coastline. An event not to be missed!! BDA

Day 6 – Friday 11 May

This Green fingers tour will appeal to the gardeners on your tour as you visit a number of private gardens and also the local nursery, so you will be on and off the bus a number of times. Morning tea is included.

Join us on an ‘In Depth’ tour of the historic Georgian convict  settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery & hear the history of interesting convict & colonial headstones, hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill. Afternoon tea included. Night as a Convict – This show is a theatre-restaurant style evening. Lots of singing, dancing and merry making. A three course carvery meal is served with a glass of white wine and orange juice upon arrival. If anyone would like anything else to drink there is a full bar facility available to purchase other drinks. Convict outfits are provided and are to be worn on the night (desirable but not compulsory if anyone has strong objections to wearing them). These outfits are like a pair of pyjamas with pants with an elastic waist, and a button up short-style top. They are made of cotton and not see-through, so are
designed to be your clothes for the evening, not worn over your clothes (the room gets very warm and you will get too hot if you wear more than you have to underneath your outfit). If anyone would like to purchase an outfit they are $30 for a second-hand one and $35 for a new one.  BM/TA/TDA

Day 7 – Saturday 12 May

Enjoy a free morning before heading off on the Tin-a-aii tour. This next tour is a photographers’ special and will take you too many of the pretty, scenic areas of the island. Our driver/guide may also be able to include chocolate/lolly making shops and/or the local liquor distillery. There is usually some walking involved. Cameras are a must. An early 2 course dinner prior to venturing out for the

evenings Light & Sound tour, where you will stay on the bus for the total duration – so there is no need to get to rugged up against the weather. You will be taken down to Kingston where you will drive amongst the ruins watching the scenes being re-enacted outside the bus. An audiotape will be playing in the bus so you can follow the story line. Cameras are welcome. This show lasts for 1 hour. BDA

Day 8 – Sunday 13 May
