First and foremost, it could be the time for a bit of a laugh. We came across this little one:
Now, on to other matters:
The Daily Coast-Canberra-Coast Shuttle
Our Rx1 And Rx2 services are still running on our normal schedule (that’s every day excluding Saturday). We have been in been in close communication with the Transport for NSW Department and our shuttle remains an essential community service and will continue.
The short story is while we can run, we will continue to run.
We are maintaining regular anti-bacterial wiping and spraying of surfaces as detailed in the email a few days ago and here (click).
School Holiday Travel
With the holiday coming up soon and all this isolation business, we are getting more enquiries from Canberrans for both travel and short stay information.
As above, we will keep our service running. It is our pleasure to bring you to the coast.
As for accommodation, some of the places such as Murramarang, Narooma and the shiny new hotel in Malua Bay are offering some good deals. Is there a better place to isolate than our lovely south coast?
Trips and Tours
I’m sure it’s no surprise to any of you that our Great Ocean Road tour has been postponed. It’s the second time it’s happened in fact. The first was because of the fires. This time around, well we know why…
We appreciate it left some of you disappointed, as it did us. It was going to be a great trip. It’s interesting to note, just in the last day or so, several of the venues we were to visit have closed including lookouts, restaurants and other public places. That of course says we made the right decision, but it’s still sad.
We are now looking at late May for the trip. We hope to have extra seats too. If all is safe and well then, we will all deserve a good trip.
The Tasmania trip has also been postponed, perhaps to August. We are not concerned with specific dates right now. We will update you as soon as dates are set.
