We are so happy to be heading back to the lovely Norfolk Island and have planned some great events over the nine fun filled days. We hope you can join us.

Day 1 Thursday 15th July

We set out early today for a leisurely drive to Sydney enjoying the beautiful scenery. Stopping for a delicious home cooked morning tea in the lovely park at Milton, after picking up more passengers. We will stop for lunch at the Fishermans Club Gerroa, lunch is at your own expense. The plan is to arrive to Sydney Airport Motel early afternoon, so you are rested and ready for an early start on Friday. Complimentary dinner is provided at the Motel.

Day 2 Friday 16th July

Early rise for a 6.30 am complimentary breakfast at the Motel. Airport transfer is at 7.30 am as the flights to Norfolk leave at 9.50 am and we are required to be there two hours before your flight. The flights do not include a meal however you can purchase snack food onboard if you choose. We will arrive in Beautiful Norfolk Island at 1.20 pm where you will be taken by bus to the Paradise Resort. Finger foods and a welcoming drink will be served on arrival and an introduction session.  You will have some time to settle into your room before the entertainment begins.

Night as a convict 5.45 pm: This is a highlight of your holiday you will dress as a convict and join in with the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing, and dancing. We supply the outfit- all you need to do is bring your sense of humour! And prepare yourself for a delicious meal with your new friends.

Day 3 Saturday 17th July

Start your day with a complimentary breakfast and a leisurely morning to take in your surroundings. Lunch is at own expense.

Meet at 1.00 pm for a half day orientation tour this is a must! It is one of the most comprehensive day tours on Norfolk Island. On this tour you see some of the key historic areas, including Kingston, Cascade and Longreach. This is your chance to learn about the fascinating history of Norfolk Island. See the famous convict buildings for yourself and enjoy the stories told and full commentary as you visit each new place.

Select your venue for dinner at own expense meals can be purchased at Paradise Resort.

Sound & Light Show 7.15: Nightfall at Kingston brings a completely Different mood to the convict settlement on Norfolk Island. The stillness and the stars are there just as they were when the original settlers arrived in 1788. However, with the dramatic use of real-life sounds, theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Pinetree Tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era.

Day 4: Sunday 18th July

Early rise for complimentary breakfast before your tour guide arrives. Norfolk Islanders will share their knowledge of Norfolk unique marine life in a one hour glass bottom boat trip. View beautiful coral gardens and tropical fish inside the calm crystal waters of the lagoon.

Lunch at your own expense. At 1.00 pm you will be picked up for an ‘in depth’ tour of the historic Georgian settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery & hear the history of interesting convict and colonial headstones, Hear stories of the houses along quality row. Walk through ruins of the new Gaol, see the pier store, boat shed and the crank mill.  

 Enjoy a two course A La Carte Dinner & Entertainment provided at the Resort.

Day 5:  Monday 19th July

After a complimentary breakfast 9:15am: Experience the proud history of the Pitcairn Island Settlers. Your guided tour will include, the gracious original Bailey homestead & gardens, a stroll through the barn, dairy and out-buildings, a museum filled with items of nostalgic and historic interest, the oldest working forge in the Pacific, an ex-New Zealand Army hut, with war-time memorabilia, an exclusive film of Norfolk Island Complimentary refreshments.

1.00pm: A state of the art Norfolk experience… exclusively off beat and hosted by locals. Climb aboard our 18 seater 4X4 bus for a pioneering adventure… off the beaten tracks. Enjoy airconditioned comfort and safety, as we share authentic insights of Norfolks unexplored valleys, ridges, coastlines and private properties. Afternoon tea is included and don’t forget your camera.

Evening entertainment is a Sumptuous Island Style dinner and entertainment provided at the Resort.

Day 6: Tuesday 20th July

After a complimentary breakfast 8.30 am we will leave for “behind the hedges” mystery tour!

Free afternoon to stroll to nearby coffee shops and explore the island.

4.45 pm   The original and still the best Island Fish Fry on Norfolk Island. Come along and enjoy local entertainment from local musicians and Island Dancers the Baunti Byuutis, all while relaxing and overlooking the breathtaking scenery. Feast on mouth-watering fried fish accompanied by salads and local dishes including ‘Pilhi’ (savoury banana slice), a special sweet potato mash called ‘Ana’, Coconut bread, and a delicious coconut pie and cream for desert. Don’t miss out on this memory making evening.

Day 7: Wednesday 21st July

This morning you start the day with a bushwalk where you will have breakfast Take you choice of a stroll through Palm Glen Reserve. Or for the more energetic a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument.  At the end of the walks we meet on the clifftop for a delicious barbecue Breakfast. This tour is not recommended for anyone with medical conditions. Walking Shoes and water are recommended.

After lunch at your own expense you will be taken to The home of Colleen McCullough. World-renowned author of 24 books called Norfolk Island home for almost 36 years. She and husband, Norfolk Islander, Ric Robinson, created a luxurious hideaway and maintained their privacy to ensure that Colleen had the perfect environment for her writing. Some of her most powerful titles were created in this much-loved sanctuary. You will be escorted through her beloved property “Out Yenna” and view Ric and Colleen’s priceless collection of artefacts gathered on their travels all over the world. This is a glimpse into the life of a modern day literary icon. If you have read her amazing books, you will love the experience of sharing the world of Colleen McCullough, author of “Tim”, “The Thornbirds” and “Morgan’s Run”.

After an exciting day be prepared for a fun evening!

Day 8: Thursday 22nd July

This morning after a complimentary breakfast if you missed out on the 4WD tour you have the opportunity to go on this exciting adventure. Others can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery or stroll to nearby coffee shops. Lunch is at your own expense.

At 1.30 pm your tour guide arrives to take you on a cheese tour this is other visitors commentary:  “Absolutely delightful. Cheese maker also plays the ukulele, is a biochemist, an entertainer and a local authority. He cooked Haloumi before playing the ukulele and singing. His father-in-law made the ukulele from local timbers. His sister-in-law served us wine to go with the 5 different styles of cheese locally made. Deck overlooked cows and the sea. Delightful! Intelligent conversation a must!”

6.00 pm Progressive Dinner. You will join a group of other Norfolk Island visitors to enjoy a 3 course meal, progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes. Each home has been carefully selected – and each dinner host has a sensational story to tell. You’ll hear all about their family’s history and day to day life. The Progressive Dinner is a fun night and a great way to meet the local people. You will come away with a true insight on life on Norfolk Island and our beautiful people.

Day 9: Friday 23rd July

This is your last morning on Norfolk Island after your complimentary breakfast you will have time to pack before an early lunch at the Motel. You will be transported to Norfolk Island Airport for a 2.30 pm departure.  You will arrive in Sydney around 4.30pm where Rixons bus will be waiting. Rixons will deliver you to your door after stopping for dinner on the way home at your own expense.

This brings the close to an amazing holiday on Norfolk Island.
